Dr. Aris Ikkos, ISHC is Research Director at Institute SETE (INSETE). INSETE is the research institute of the Confederation of Greek Tourism (SETE). At INSETE he is responsible developing SETE Intelligence, a business intelligence unit for Greek tourism as well as for managing research projects with a view to: preparing policy plans for tourism development in a sustainable way; improving accuracy of forecasting of its variables; improving the quality of Greek tourism; addressing manpower and training issues in tourism.
He also participates in tripartite (state-employers-employees) committees on various issues and advises SETE (Greek Tourism Confederation) about policy issues.
Aris is involved in Greek and Cypriot tourism since the 80s. His experience includes tourism planning at a regional and national level as well as all types of tourism investment: hotels, resorts, marinas, conference centers, casinos, spas, theme parks, etc.
Since 2005, he is the only Greek member of the by-invitation-only International Society of Hospitality Consultants. He has also been a member of the Academy of Experts, a body with a dual function as an Accrediting Body that aims to safeguard high standards for Court Experts during the execution of their duties and a Professional Body promoting these high standards.
